In the supertitious culture of Filipinos, if a spoon falls accidentally from the table while eating, the host will expect for a female visitor. If it is a fork the host will wait for a male visitor.
Having this cultural backdrop, I figured to photograph this (I have no freaking time to paint my ideas, but we have a lot of utensils and tabloid here, haha) "art" to reflect my views, from the woman's perspective, if she is in a prostitution or something close to that. |

Yes, I did a hasty generalization on placing prostitutes immediately as women, but then again they are the majority in such trade, at bakit ba tayo nagiingles, haha, but for the benefit of the non-Filipino community I would like to say that this work is done in a pro-feminist humanistic tone in line with the understanding of social justice. Too bad women are doing this primarily to live. Damn you ignorance and miserable poverty.
"Things are the one that can be used, not people". Let us stay honest and true on that line of thinking and voila bigotry and fundamentalism will vanish.
